Chapter 18: The Ride By Witt Lowry

Hey what is up everyone it's TheDylanSark here and oh my god. My favorite rapper/my inspiration came out with a new song as of 2/29/16. This song is called "The Ride" featuring Jared Evans. The song is themed after roller-coasters and people doubting you and being put down. Witt Lowry always inspires me with his songs because they have actual meaning to them and they aren't just "words" they become lyrics not from his mind but from his heart. Witt is also a small rapper compared to other known rappers but I believe in my heart he is bigger than any rapper known today. I swear that I know so many of his songs by heart, which keeps my mind always busy and thinking. I can be walking down the hallway and rap the entire "Kindest Regards" by Witt Lowry. Now time for the song and I'll help you analysis it at the end.

[Verse 1: Witt Lowry]
They said don't get on this ride if you ain't tall enough
I think that always bothered us
The box they tried to put us in, I think it's where it started
They never want to see us win, but they can't f*** with all of us
They never want to hear us out, but now it's "Will you follow us?"
Damn, they try to tell me who I am, y'all don't know yet?
These labels in my email, they beg I suffer a slow death
I did this all with no cheque and no cosine
Last of my kind, I bring the life, the life I see in my mind
Back to the basement, I'm practically begging y'all to just listen
They took their shots and they're missing
Now who are you kidding
Kissing, Listening to a girl who couldn't handle my vision
That's back when I was selling burgers from a stand for a living
Was barely living
Feeling bad for whoever can't tell the difference
They're saying they wish you well
But to see you fail, they're wishing
The people, they need a voice
So I'll never fail my mission
The ride, I pay for admission
This coast is closer to vivid, so ride

[Hook x2: Jared Evan]
We'll start the ride
Cause we'll survive
Put fear aside
We'll start the ride

[Verse 2: Witt Lowry]
Don't get on this ride, cause you can't handle it
They're praying I abandon this
I'm taking out you bandits, a bazooka and a canon b****
I manifest while everyone around us smoking cannabis
Simple minded and lazy will never become a fan of his
Follow trends, I will never
Don't mean to diss, I'm just better
I'll never settle for good, cause great is oh so much better
Remember they called me stupid, said I'll never sell an album
I told 'em, I'll spill my soul and that the worlds inside the outcome
So how come I thought the college route would make a difference?
Thirty-thousand every year and that was only just beginning
I see my f***ing friends sit at a desk, they think they're winning
Back when I was selling burgers from a stand for a living
Was barely living
Felling bad for whoever can't tell the difference
They're saying they wish you well
But to see you fail, they're wishing
The people, they need a voice
So I'll never fail my mission
The ride, I pay for admission
This coast is closer to vivid, so ride

[Hook x2: Jared Evan]
We'll start the ride
Cause we'll survive
Put fear aside
We'll start the ride

[Verse 3: Witt Lowry]
They said don't get on this ride
I told 'em "F*** off.", this ain't my chance to f***ing make it
It's ninety-nine percent, you're one off
And all I'm hearing now are songs about coke and guns
I don't f***ing get it, but y'all don't want to stand
The man has the most sinister message, suppression
My friends a teacher, she had me come teach a lesson
A class of fourth graders, their favorite song, you can guess it
They're yelling trap queen and coke code, don't know the message
They all wonder why I'm angry, well our youth has been infected
Getting pregnant, glorifying a life that's barely worth living
Don't put me in a box, no I'll never fit your description
They say what makes you different
You paint the picture, so vivid
Back when I was selling burgers from a stand for a living
Was barely living
Felling bad for whoever can't tell the difference
They're saying they wish you well
But to see you fail, they're wishing
The people, they need a voice
So I'll never fail my mission
The ride, I pay for admission
This coast is closer to vivid, so ride

[Hook x2: Jared Evan]
We'll start the ride
Cause we'll survive
Put fear aside
We'll start the ride

(I could be entirely wrong with my interpretation of the song but this is the way I see it.)
Now oh my god I don't know about you but this song is absolutely amazing. I haven't been on Twitter for a while and when I saw this video in my YouTube Feed Box I think my neighbors heard me scream. The first part of the song Witt refers to being a rapper just like anyone else "The box they tried to put us in." But Witty doesn't want to be like everyone else he wants to be better and different. The song also talks about being put down by others and you just have to surpass and show them what you can actually do. I believe the song also is about fake friends "They're saying they wish you well, But to see you fail, they're wishing." Witt Lowry also states that he doesn't want to be like the rest of people or follow society's trends which I agree with 100%.  That'll do for the song for this blog, if you have your own interpretation or opinion you can comment down below. I also just wanted to say that I believe that Witt Lowry is a huge inspiration, because his messages in his songs are so deep and actually apply to life. His songs aren't just words that you yell in the car while driving. His songs are poems that express real life and have helped so many people get through hard times in their lives. Where have you ever heard that a song about money and drugs helped someone through their hard times in life? No where because it doesn't, but an actual message will. I know I've talked about Witt Lowry before and my obsess over him.
That is where I'll leave this crazy blog off, I hope Witt Lowry reads this I just wanted to say we all, your fans, are following you and you inspire so many of us no matter the number just know we'll be there for you because you were there for us! Love you guys to the fridge and back and see you next week!
